1) York College Music Club Dance '12: Keepin' It Funky

FRIDAY, 4/27 @ 7 p.m.
Health & Phys Ed Building (160-02 Liberty Ave, Jamaica)

Come dance the night away at the annual YORK COLLEGE MUSIC CLUB DANCE with live music by the YORK COLLEGE BIG BAND and the student group THE VISIONARIES. This year's theme is FUNK. So please dress accordingly! Think 70s styles and colors! Also, there will be food (while it lasts) and a DJ spinning the hits. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID YORK COLLEGE ID and each person with a valid ID is allowed one non-York guest. LADIES: no heels on the dance floor.

2) YorkJam '12: a celebration of NYC HS jazz ensembles

SATURDAY, 4/28 @ 2 p.m.
Academic Core 3D01

Come hear NYC public high school musicians jam all afternoon featuring musicians from All-City Jazz Ensemble, Fordham HS for the Arts, Talent Unlimited HS, and the York College Blue Notes! FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!! This has become a tradition of non-competitive, musical celebration. A guaranteed good time!!!

And while you are on campus, you should stay for trombonist Clifton Anderson and his quintet at 7 p.m. at the York College Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20 / $10 students/seniors.
